What demand avoidance is, what it isn't, and how it shows up in coaching.

PDA — pathological demand avoidance, or, increasingly, persistent drive for autonomy — is one of the most-misunderstood profiles inside the autism spectrum. It is not defiance. It is not poor parenting. It is a nervous-system shape, with consequences, and it is worth understanding plainly.
