Introduction to my practice.
So many neurodivergent people follow a winding career path.
Hi. I’m Lee. Welcome to my new website.
I started autism & ADHD coaching in 2021. My first clients were young people looking for the right universities, or a first job after graduating from college. Working with young people in transition was a natural fit. I’d volunteered at LGBTQIA+ youth centers, taught science at universities, worked as a sexuality educator on college campuses during the AIDS crisis… I really like working with teens and young adults.
I joined a group coaching practice in 2022, and as I worked closely with neurodivergent colleagues and learned more about my own neurotype, my curiosity exploded. I applied my biology training to understanding my mind. It was s-a-t-i-s-f-y-i-n-g. I focused intensely on autism, ADHD, dyslexia, alexithymia, dyscalculia, proprioception, and related characteristics. I took a deep dive into Pathological Demand Avoidance from which I’ve never emerged.
Why this practice, why now?
In 2022, I joined Facilitate Joy! Autism & ADHD Consulting. After a few years of employing neurodivergent coaches and educators, Facilitate Joy! conceded that being a small employer in the US is unworkable financially. And holy moly had we tried. So, the coaches each started a solo practice, and we continue to work together as a coaching collaborative and referral network. You can read more about our coaching group at the Facilitate Joy! website.
